The Wax Gives Back
Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center in Pigeon Forge was fortunate to receive no damage during the recent Smoky Mountains wildfires. We have been encouraged to see the support pouring in for the businesses and families who were impacted.
To do our part, Hollywood Wax Museum has donated $8,000 to local charities. The Pigeon Forge staff, as a team, voted on how to divide the funds.
We are happy to donate:
- $3,700 to the Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries
- $1,500 to the Sevier County Fire Relief Fund
- $1,400 to the Sevier County Humane Society
- $1,400 to Pets Without Parents Shelter
Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries (SMARM) has committed to provide free clothing, furniture, toys, and other items from their thrift stores to aid families needing these items.
Pigeon Forge/Sevier County Relief Fund has been established to help families in need. The city of Pigeon Forge and Sevier County have banded together to create an account at Citizens National Bank to aid people at the shelters and to provide long-term assistance for housing.
Sevier County Humane Society is working to reunite lost pets with their owners. They are also boarding pets belonging to people that are temporarily living in emergency shelters that do not allow pets.
Pets Without Parents has accepted lost and missing animals, and is caring for them until they can be reunited with their owners.
We appreciate the efforts that these organizations are making to care for the businesses, residents, and pets of Sevier County.
The Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center- Pigeon Forge, as well as nearly all of the excellent hotels, restaurants, and attractions in Pigeon Forge, are running as usual. The region is still beautiful, thriving and as entertaining as ever. Perhaps it’s time for a visit. Come Play With The Stars!
