Hollywood Wax Museum – Hollywood Blvd’s Most Visited Attraction

Visitors come to Hollywood from far and wide, and everyone is hoping to see a star or two. A lucky few will run into them, sometimes filming their most recent flick on Hollywood Blvd! Luckily for everyone else, since 1965, Hollywood Wax Museum has allowed want-to-be star gazers to get an up close look at their favorite celebs and even get their photo taken with them!

Hollywood Wax Museum is located on the world-famous Hollywood Blvd. The Hollywood Walk of Fame runs right in front of our entrance! With over 50 years in this location, we’re the most visited indoor attraction in Hollywood and a really fun stop for those seeking a classic Hollywood experience. Just being at Hollywood Wax Museum puts you better in touch with Hollywood, after all, we’re a famous destination ourselves. We’ve appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows including America’s Top Model, Wes Craven’s Cursed with Portia de Rossi, House of Wax with Paris Hilton, See No Evil Hear No Evil, and The Mechanic with Charles Bronson.

John Goodman Walk of Fame

For those that dig history, you’ll love the story of our building’s past. Back in the early days of movies, circa 1930, Hollywood’s elite were frequent visitors to our building. It was Hollywood’s first exclusive nightspot called The Embassy Club and was open to only 300 top celebrities and entertainment industry executives. Members included Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Gloria Swanson, Gone with the Wind producer David O. Selznick, and a new star at the time, Jean Harlow, who often came with her date, Howard Hughes. Pretty cool, right?

Sally Field Walk of Fame

Since then, many stars have dropped by our attraction, and a couple have received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame right in front of our building. We were fortunate to have front-row seats to see Sally Field receive her star on May 5, 2014 and John Goodman receive his on March 10, 2017.

As for the experience at Hollywood Wax Museum, it’s all about the fun of being a star among the stars! The wax figures portray pop culture icons from film, TV, and music, and we offer great props to enhance your selfies with the stars. Our horror chamber is also a fan favorite, featuring monsters and villains from current and classic films. (This area can be bypassed if scary stuff isn’t your thing.) We’re constantly working on new figures and poll our guests in order to take their feedback into account when we decide who to create next. Let us know who you’d like to see!

Headed to Hollywood soon? Purchase tickets in advance! We look forward to sharing Hollywood with you!
