You’ve officially booked your trip to Los Angeles and are planning on swinging by the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, hoping to get a glimpse of stardom! If you’re in the right spot at the right time, you may see an A-lister getting their star on Hollywood Blvd, or their hands and feet imprinted in cement at TCL (Grauman’s) Chinese Theater.

If you’re looking for some additional inspiration on standout things to do in Hollywood to feel “in” with the ultra-famous, we got you covered. For a guaranteed hang out with all your favorite stars, be sure to drop by Hollywood Wax Museum, open every day from 9am to midnight. And, just a short walk up the boulevard, attend one of the hottest late-night talk shows for free. Yes, you read that right, Jimmy Kimmel Live tapes in Hollywood and it’s free to be part of the audience!

Jimmy Kimmel Thing to do in Hollywood

The live show is taped every Monday through Thursday starting at 4:30 p.m. at the former Masonic Hall, right next door to El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. You can reserve your own free tickets in advance at 1iota.com. We suggest arriving at least 30 to 45 minutes early, as the show frequently overbooks, to ensure a spot in the taping.

Jimmy Kimmel Live allows guests over 18 to attend with a photo ID. The dress code is “nice casual”, as there is the possibility of appearing on camera or participating in different bits.

Our team at the Hollywood Wax Museum loves sharing our wealth of knowledge about our world-famous city. After all, we’ve been part of the Hollywood scene for 54 years! If you’re still looking for an awesome place to stay, check out our blog on hot Hollywood hotels. And, of course you’ll want to get your picture taken with the Hollywood sign, and we’ve shared the best vantage points.

We look forward to welcoming you to Hollywood!
